Summer vacation is approaching, and parents are facing the annual puzzle: how do we keep the kids busy? While a theme park or a week at the beach is fun, a sports camp offers something that goes far beyond mere entertainment. It is a pressure cooker for your child's social growth.

At our camps (tennis, soccer, padel, and hockey), we see children transform weekly from shy individuals into confident team players.

Here are 5 reasons why a sports camp is the best investment in your child's social capital.

‍

1. Friendships outside the 'school bubble'

At school, children are often stuck in long-standing roles and patterns. At sports camp, the slate is wiped clean. Children from different schools and backgrounds come together with one common passion.

  • The effect: Your child learns to interact with new personalities and builds friendships based purely on shared experiences and fun, rather than just who happens to live nearby.

2. Learning to collaborate under pressure

Whether it's a doubles match in tennis or a crucial pass during soccer, sports force communication. You cannot win on your own.

  • The lesson: Children learn that they have to rely on one another. They experience how to encourage a teammate after a mistake and how to celebrate a victory together. This builds a foundation for empathy and teamwork that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

3. Conflict resolution on the field

Was the ball in or out? Should that penalty corner have been awarded or not? During sports, disagreements are inevitable.

  • Social growth: Under the guidance of our experienced coaches, children learn to resolve these conflicts themselves. They learn that respect for their opponent and the referee is more important than being right.

4. Self-confidence through new skills

Nothing gives a bigger boost to self-esteem than mastering a new technique, such as the perfect vibora in padel or a crisp push in hockey.

"Self-confidence is the engine of social interaction." A child who is proud of what they can do finds it easier to approach others.

5. Digital detox: Real connection

In a world of screens, a sports camp offers a much-needed 'offline' experience. No filters or likes, just real eye contact, high-fives, and physical exertion.

  • The result: Children learn to be 'in the moment' again and have authentic conversations during breaks and lunch.

Our Summer Camps (July through August)
